On AI Images

We’ve received a few questions about why we use AI-generated images, so we want to clarify our approach. Licensing photographs from major agencies is far beyond our budget, and using copyrighted images without permission would be illegal. Our AI-generated images are always clearly disclosed and exist solely to illustrate the themes of each post—they never invent facts, depict events that never happened, or present fabricated individuals as real. All of our reporting is grounded entirely in publicly available sources, with links provided so readers can verify every claim for themselves. We’re sorry if an illustrative image raises doubts for some readers, but we genuinely don’t see why it should; the images depict only generic scenes consistent with the post’s discussion. And if any well-funded supporters would like to help us license real photography in the future, we’d be glad to hear from them. 🙂
