David Miller

David Miller is a British academic and former professor of political sociology at the University of Bristol, known for his controversial research on media, Islamophobia, and influence operations. He directed the investigative platform Spinwatch, which has received funding from organizations such as the Cordoba Foundation, Muslim Engagement and Development (MEND), Interpal, and Friends of Al-Aqsa —many of which have ties to the Global Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. Miller has contributed to Al-Mayadeen, a Beirut-based pro-Hezbollah media outlet, and produces “Palestine Declassified” for Press TV, the Iranian state broadcaster. He co-authored the EU-funded report “Islamophobia and European Media,” arguing that European media and states foster anti-Muslim narratives. Miller’s public claims have led to accusations of inciting hatred and his dismissal from Bristol University, though he maintains he was cleared of anti-Semitism. He has appeared at events organized by the Islamic Human Rights Commission, a UK NGO with UN close links to the Iranian regime. Miller remains a polarizing figure in debates on Islamophobia, Zionism, and the influence of pro-Israel lobbies in the UK and Europe.
