Reform UK

GNCA

Reform UK is a right-wing populist political party in the United Kingdom, founded in late 2018 as the Brexit Party by Nigel Farage and Catherine Blaiklock to push for a harder exit from the European Union. After the UK formally left the EU, it was rebranded in January 2021 as “Reform UK” and broadened its agenda to emphasise stricter immigration, tax cuts, opposition to net-zero emissions policies, and reforms to the state. Under Farage’s renewed leadership since June 2024, the party gained its first significant presence in Parliament during the 2024 general election, winning five seats and altering the dynamics of right-wing politics in the United Kingdom. Reform UK has also been increasingly associated with European currents of national conservatism, sharing themes such as opposition to supranational governance, the defence of traditional cultural identity, and skepticism of liberal internationalism.
