Global Muslim Brotherhood Scholar Wants All Jews In Palestine “Annihilated”

An Israeli NGO is report­ing that in an inter­view with a Turk­ish pro-Mus­lim Broth­er­hood TV chan­nel, a  Pales­tin­ian schol­ar tied to the glob­al Mus­lim Broth­er­hood has advo­cat­ed the killing of all Jews liv­ing in Pales­tine. Accord­ing to the MEMRI report:

May 11, 2021 Islam­ic schol­ar Mraweh Nas­sar (…) said that human­i­ty will nev­er thrive until the Jew­ish nation is anni­hi­lat­ed. He made his remarks in an inter­view with the Arab lan­guage pro Mus­lim Broth­er­hood Chan­nel 9 (Turkey) that aired on May 11, 2021. Nas­sar clar­i­fied that he means every sin­gle Jew in Pales­tine, includ­ing, men, women, chil­dren, and the elder­ly, but not West­ern Jews, who “do not attack us, who do not sup­port ban­ish­ing and killing us.”

In a Feb­ru­ary 2021 inter­view with the same chan­nel, Nas­sar said that the world had to be “cleansed” of Jews before Mus­lims could have true peace, call­ing them “the most dan­ger­ous enemies.”

Nas­sar serves as Sec­re­tary-Gen­er­al of the Jerusalem Com­mit­tee of the Inter­na­tion­al Union of Mus­lim Schol­ars (IUMS), an inter­na­tion­al body of Mus­lim the­olo­gians based in Doha, Qatar, whose lead­er­ship is close­ly tied to the Glob­al Mus­lim Broth­er­hood (GMB). Until recent­ly, it was led by GMB spir­i­tu­al guide Youssef Qaradawi. Sev­er­al promi­nent Euro­pean Mus­lim faith lead­ers tied to the GMB were IUMS mem­bers and/or have served as IUMS Trus­tees, includ­ing for­mer Oxford Uni­ver­si­ty Islam­ic Stud­ies pro­fes­sor Tariq Ramadan and Ahmed Jabal­lah, a senior leader in the French and Glob­al Mus­lim Brotherhood.

In May 2021, the Glob­al Influ­ence Oper­a­tions Report (GIOR) report­ed that the IUMS had post­ed a pro­posed Fri­day ser­mon on the top­ic of Jerusalem to its web­site that includ­ed incite­ment to vio­lence and jihad, adding that who­ev­er was unable to come to the bat­tle­front him­self had to help the fight­ers with mon­ey. Oth­er recent GIOR report­ing on the IUMS has also included:

• In April 2021, the GIOR report­ed that the IUMS had called on the French gov­ern­ment to stop inter­fer­ing with the “pri­va­cy of Islam,” reject­ing a new French Char­ter of Repub­li­can Val­ues aim­ing to cur­tail for­eign influ­ence over Mus­lim groups and mosques.

• In May 2021, the GIOR report­ed that the IUMS was among the orga­niz­ers of a vir­tu­al schol­ars con­fer­ence cen­tered on Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque that brought togeth­er a UN-sanc­tioned ter­ror­ism financier, Glob­al Mus­lim Broth­er­hood lead­ers, and a British orga­ni­za­tion known to be pro-Hamas.
