US Muslim Brotherhood Leader Calls On American Muslims To Influence Foreign Policy; Says US Sows World Chaos

An Israeli NGO is report­ing that Ous­sama Jam­mal, direc­tor of the Mus­lim Amer­i­can Soci­ety (MAS) and Sec­re­tary-Gen­er­al of the US Coun­cil of Mus­lim Orga­ni­za­tions (USCMO), recent­ly called on Amer­i­can Mus­lims to vote in order to influ­ence for­eign pol­i­cy and sug­gest­ed the US inten­tion­al­ly sows chaos in the Mid­dle East. Accord­ing to a report by MEMRI:

June 23, 2022 In a Fri­day, June 17, 2022 ser­mon at the Mosque Foun­da­tion in Bridgeview, Illi­nois, Ous­sama Jam­mal, who serves as the direc­tor of the Mus­lim Amer­i­can Soci­ety (MAS) and as the Sec­re­tary-Gen­er­al of the U.S. Coun­cil of Mus­lim Orga­ni­za­tions, said that vot­ing is the jihad and weapon of Mus­lims in Amer­i­ca. He called on Amer­i­can Mus­lims to vote in order to influ­ence for­eign pol­i­cy, and he argued that if Mus­lims are “strong vot­ers” they can influ­ence Con­gress to pay mon­ey to refugees cre­at­ed by Amer­i­can for­eign pol­i­cy. In addi­tion, Jam­mal sug­gest­ed that the pur­pose of America’s for­eign pol­i­cy may be to inten­tion­al­ly sow chaos and destruc­tion in the Mid­dle East, and he claimed that Mus­lim coun­tries are the biggest financers of Islam­o­pho­bia in Amer­i­ca because “they don’t like this lead­er­ship of the Mus­lim com­mu­ni­ty.” The video of the ser­mon was streamed live on the mosque’s YouTube channel.

The Mus­lim Amer­i­can Soci­ety (MAS) was iden­ti­fied in a report authored by the GIOR edi­tor as a part of the US Mus­lim Broth­er­hood and close­ly tied to the Egypt­ian orga­ni­za­tion. Accord­ing to a Chica­go Tri­bune inves­ti­ga­tion, the MAS ear­ly in its his­to­ry chose to con­ceal its Broth­er­hood affil­i­a­tion, fear­ing that the US would crack down on Hamas members.

The US Coun­cil of Mus­lim Orga­ni­za­tions (USCMO) is com­prised almost sole­ly of ele­ments of the US Mus­lim Broth­er­hood. USCMO Sec­re­tary-Gen­er­al Ous­sama Jam­mal has long been a leader of the Bridgeview Mosque and its Mosque Foun­da­tion, the focus of a 2004 Chica­go Tri­bune inves­ti­ga­tion. The inves­ti­ga­tion revealed that as much as $1 mil­lion a year had been raised from mosque mem­bers which was sent to over­seas Mus­lim char­i­ties, prin­ci­pal­ly in sup­port of Hamas. The arti­cle also detailed the mosque’s ties to the Mus­lim Broth­er­hood. In Octo­ber 2020, we report­ed that the USCMO host­ed a meet­ing of dozens of West­ern Mus­lim Broth­er­hood-linked organizations.

• In Jan­u­ary, we report­ed that Jam­mal and USCMO board mem­ber Osama Abuir­shaid attend­ed a US con­fer­ence dur­ing which one speak­er made a series of incen­di­ary alle­ga­tions, essen­tial­ly des­ig­nat­ing large por­tions of the Jew­ish com­mu­ni­ty in the US.
• In Octo­ber 2021, we report­ed that Jam­mal and USCMO Chair­man Moohsin Ansari attend­ed a con­fer­ence orga­nized by the Turk­ish-Amer­i­can Nation­al Steer­ing Com­mit­tee (TASC) which also includ­ed Turk­ish Pres­i­dent Erdoğan.
