Collectif pour l’Inclusion et contre l’Islamophobie en Belgique (CIIB)

Islamism

Established in September 2014, the Collective for Inclusion and Against Islamophobia in Belgium (CIIB)—also known in French as Collectif pour l’Inclusion et contre l’Islamophobie en Belgique—serves as a support and reporting hub for victims of anti-Muslim discrimination in Brussels and nationally, working closely with legal offices and organizations like Unia  . CIIB’s mandate includes documenting cases of Islamophobia and providing legal and psychological support, especially to Muslim women who wear visible religious symbols  . However, a confidential Belgian intelligence report dated April 2025, produced by PFCECT (the integrated task force of SGRS and VSSE), characterizes CIIB as a “Muslim Brotherhood‑leaning pressure group”. The assessment notes that CIIB was founded by several individuals—including one with explicit Brotherhood ties—and that it propagates a narrative commonly associated with Brotherhood ideology: suggesting that European societies are inherently hostile to Islam and Muslims. The intelligence analysis also frames CIIB as effectively the Belgian affiliate of France’s dissolved Collective Against Islamophobia in France (CCIF), and flags it as potentially seeking to influence public policy and undermine democratic values  .
