Union of Good

Islamism

The Union of Good (UOG) was a worldwide coalition of charities headed by Global Muslim Brotherhood leader Youssef Qaradawi and designated by the US for fund-raising activities on Hamas’ behalf. A report written by the GIOR Editor identifies the UOG and most of its trustees and member organizations as associated with the Global Muslim Brotherhood. Israel banned the UOG’s charities in 2008 and the UOG itself was designated as a terrorist entity by the United States in the same year. However, neither Youssef Qaradawi nor any of the Trustees were similarly designated. Another report by the GIOR editor also discusses four UK UOG charities as sharing trustees, banks, and delivering and donating aid to each other and to partner organizations in the Palestinian Territories, many of which are associated with Hamas.
